Loaded Hot Dog with Bacon, Cheese, and Fries
Ingredients:
For the hot dog:
4 beef hot dogs
4 hot dog buns
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
2 tbsp green onions, chopped
1 tbsp mustard or ketchup (optional)
For the fries:
2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp paprika
(optional)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions:
Prepare the fries:
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato fries in olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Cook the hot dogs:
Grill or pan-fry the hot dogs according to your preference until they’re nicely browned and heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
Assemble the loaded hot dogs:
Place each hot dog in a bun. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over each hot dog. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon and top with chopped green onions.
Melt the cheese:
For a gooey, melty finish, you can place the hot dogs in the oven for 2-3 minutes at 350°F (175°C) or until the cheese is melted.
Serve:
Serve the loaded hot dogs alongside the crispy fries. Optionally drizzle with mustard or ketchup if desired.
