Croissant Breakfast Sandwich with Sausage and Cheese
Ingredients
For the Sandwich:
2 large croissants, halved horizontally
2 breakfast sausage patties
4 slices of cheddar cheese
2 large eggs
1 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Sausage Patties
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sausage patties until browned and fully cooked (internal temperature of 160°F/71°C). Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Scramble the Eggs
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Melt the butter in the same skillet over medium heat.
Pour the eggs into the skillet and cook, stirring gently, until soft and fluffy.
Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich
Preheat your oven to broil or use a toaster oven.
Place the bottom halves of the croissants on a baking tray.
Layer each with a sausage patty, scrambled eggs, and two slices of cheese.
Place the top halves of the croissants on top.
Step 4: Melt the Cheese
Broil the sandwiches for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are lightly toasted. Keep a close eye to avoid burning!
