Description
Crispy Fried Mozzarella Bites
Ingredients:
12 oz mozzarella cheese (cut into 1-inch cubes)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions:
Prepare the breading station:
Place the flour in one shallow bowl.
In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Bread the mozzarella cubes:
Dip each mozzarella cube into the flour, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Repeat the process for a double coating to ensure the cheese doesn’t leak during frying. Place the coated mozzarella bites on a plate and freeze for 15-20 minutes.
Fry the mozzarella bites:
Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or saucepan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the mozzarella bites in small batches for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve:
Arrange the crispy mozzarella bites on a platter. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
These gooey, cheesy bites are the ultimate appetizer or snack—perfectly crispy on the outside and melty on the inside!
