Description
Cheesy Onion Burger
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
2 large onions
4 slices cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, or sauces
Instructions:
Prepare the onions: Slice the onions into thick rings. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the onion rings for 5-7 minutes on each side, until they are caramelized and golden brown. Set aside.
Shape the burgers: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions. Form them into burger patties and season with salt and pepper.
Cook the burgers: In the same skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they are cooked to your preferred doneness.
Add the cheese: During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
Assemble the burger: Take two caramelized onion rings and place them as the “bun” for each burger. Place the cheesy patty in between the onion rings, topping with any other desired toppings.
Serve: Enjoy your delicious, cheesy, onion burger!
A flavorful and creative twist on the classic burger, perfect for onion lovers!
