Cheesy Beef Pasta Bake

Ingredients:

8 oz pasta (such as rigatoni)

1 lb ground beef

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Cook the Pasta: Boil the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, then add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.

Add Sauce and Seasonings: Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the beef sauce and mix well to combine.

Add Cheese and Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve: Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your cheesy beef pasta bake!
