Description

Cheesy Bacon Beef Stuffed Bread

Ingredients

1 large loaf of French bread (or Italian bread)
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Directions

Prepare the Bread: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the top off the bread and hollow out the center, leaving about 1/2-inch of bread on all sides.

Cook the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add Flavor: Stir in barbecue sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Stuff the Bread: Fill the hollowed-out bread with the beef mixture. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.

Bake: Brush the outside of the bread with the beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve: Slice into thick portions and enjoy warm!
