Chocolate Orange Cake
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1 ½ cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup orange juice
½ cup oil
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp orange zest
For the Filling:
1 cup orange marmalade
½ cup whipped cream
For the Ganache:
1 cup dark chocolate, melted
½ cup heavy cream
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two cake pans.
Whisk dry ingredients: Combine flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
Mix batter: Combine eggs, oil, orange juice, vanilla, and zest. Stir into dry ingredients.
Bake cake: Divide batter into pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool.
Layer filling: Spread orange marmalade mixed with whipped cream between cake layers.
Ganache topping: Pour melted chocolate over the top.
Garnish & serve: Decorate with orange slices before serving.
