Ingredients
4 bread bowls (round sourdough loaves)
300g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley
(chopped)
Instructions
Prepare the Bread Bowls:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut off the tops of the bread bowls and scoop out the insides, leaving a sturdy shell. Place the bread bowls on a baking sheet and toast lightly in the oven for 5 minutes.
Cook the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with paprika, salt, and pepper, then sauté for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine and Fill:
Mix half of the cooked shrimp into the Alfredo sauce. Pour the creamy shrimp mixture into the toasted bread bowls.
Top and Bake:
Top each bread bowl with the remaining shrimp and a sprinkle of extra Parmesan cheese. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Pair with a side salad or enjoy as a standalone dish!
This creamy shrimp Alfredo bread bowl is comfort food at its finest, perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself to something special.
